“my neighbors must really like me :)” being the first track I’ve listened to by @eye.dntty, I believe this is an excellent introduction to his discography. The track is very much to the point, beginning with an eerie yet intriguing melody and hi-hat pattern you can bop your head to as you get ready to swing your arms in a pit. As the 808s come in, you’re met with a familiar cadence that mixes very well with a more harsh vocal about 26 seconds into the track that shows the sarcasm behind the title of the track. The production on this track is made to be performed. Strictly based on the sheer energy eye.dntty puts into his vocals which is then backed by the bass aching drums. I could only imagine how crazy the venue would be! This single very much reminded me of an early X with eye.dntty’s own sauce laid on top. Between the cadence switches, the choice of how and when they chose to be aggressive and when to tone it down. It gives the track a different dynamic, in a sense, gives the track room to breathe. I do wish the vocal had slightly more clarity and was less muddy. Overall, a solid track, listenability on this single is up there on the scale. I give “my neighbors must really like me :)” a rating of 7/10.
