Strawberry Rawr released a new single: Broken Souls. A guitar riff transitions into a hip-hop/techno-type beat with high-energy vocal delivery. Female screamo vocals are always my favorite! Strawberry expresses her frustrations with her raw and powerful voice. I can feel her angst with certain people not accepting her. Something I can really relate to. Instead of her trying to conform with other people, she has chosen to swim against the tide. She screams really deep and passionately but is also able to balance things out with her cute anime-like voice! Her vocals sit well in the finished mix and she does a really great job of highlighting the rough texture in her screams. The techno part in the middle of the song has a softer vocal delivery. It had this slight auto-tune effect that makes it sound spacey and cool. The middle of the song also features a change in the bass and energy that I really enjoyed!
