Where do we draw the line on what is, and is not Trap Metal? I was having a short conversation with one of you the other day about this very question. And I came to the conclusion, that in my opinion, any form of rap or trap with screaming, and or heavy metal influences, that makes us bang our heads, would be considered Trap Metal. I apologize for that run-on sentence. Scream rap, Rap Metal, Punk Rap, Horrorcore, and others of the same caliber are all sub-genres of Trap Metal. And that is my humble opinion. This next review has screaming, and also makes me bang my head, but is probably the SOFTEST, CHILLEST, Trap Metal submission yet! Crewsont & Xilla Gore-Rel-A just released Broken Hearts. An Emo Trap / Trap Metal collab about heartbreak and coping with loss. A trap beat with emo acoustics complimented by screamo backup vocals really sets the painful and relatable tone for this track. A nice change of pace for our little community from some true Trap Metal legends. Out now on all platforms!
