When Craxis, Pt. 1 by Yung Shizi starts, its not something you would normally expect to hear on a Trap Metal playlist. It’s not until his hook starts that you realize why I approved this track. The beat comes in with some wavy Experimental Emo Trap / Hyperpop vibes. A common theme prevalent in the rest of his album simply titled “Glitch”
But when the hook begins he starts a sustained growl vocal, layering his melody over this unique other worldly type beat. Its as if the devil himself is trying to show you his dark side.
The audio production on the track is very DIY. But that is something i’m actually fond of. Trap Metal is a genre of its own now, but its roots will forever lay in punk music. Overly engineered perfect mixes are not what I would consider punk. And personally I don’t trust sh*t that sounds too good.
The raw tones and emotions in this track mixed with melody ads a nice flavor to our collaborative Trap Metal Alliance playlist and thats why i’ve added this submission. Really shows people how diverse Trap Metal can be.
To Yung Shizi: Keep up the good work. I listened to your whole, album. Not just the track you submitted and i’m loving the direction you are taking your music. DON’T EVER STOP!!!!
