1. Thanks for taking some time to be interviewed. Can you please introduce your self and tell us just a bit about what you do? *
My name is G R X Y simply just pronounced gray and I make music as an outlet to let out what I think and feel to give people insight of my views and possibly give them something to relate to. I try to be versatile with it because I’m all honesty there’s so much more to the trap metal scene that can be reached and even just music in general and that’s what I’m striving for.
2. When, where, and why did your journey in music begin? And did you have another project before this one? *
I started making music when I was about 14 or 15 years old I was just making beats at the time then around 16 I dropped my first actually track out In Killeen Texas. I started music at an early age by drumming and I just knew music was something I would definitely want to invest my time into
3. Who gets bragging rights for helping you get to where you are now? *
Definitely got to thank my mom, my best friends and supporters Jeremy (jermsego) Kiara (Styx) Biggie Funk DJ Aku producers Ever Anubis, Josh (lightningeyes) Grim Goblin and 171
4. What can we expect from you in the future? New albums, releases, music videos? *
Consistency is key so I’m definitely working on getting out a few EP’s this year and towards the end of the year my first album I have a few music videos out and I’m surely going to be releasing more soon
5. Who is your favorite artist within the Trapmetal subgenre? *
Coming up I’ve took a lot of inspiration from many artists but my favorite would have to be Scarlxrd
6. If you could go on tour with anyone in the world, alive or dead, who would be on the bill with you? What is your dream tour? *
My dream tour would have to be with Slipknot, Scar, Marilyn Manson, Sleeping with Sirens, and LL Cool J
7. What are the pros and cons of your local scene? Where do you see room for
improvement? And what are your music scene’s strengths? *
In Killeen considering it’s a small city it’s not to hard to spread your name around but at the same time there really is much exposure for artists
8. Where do you see your self in 5 years? What about 10? *
I can see myself touring heavy by then possibly starting an underground label of my own to get more artists heard
